Professional Work

Commercials and short films that I’ve worked on. My position on each project is designated in the heading.

Short Films for Class

These are some of the short films I made in classes throughout my time at Emerson College. Many of these were exercises and have several mistakes that I’d hope contrast the quality of my thesis, highlighting the growth I’ve had as a filmmaker over the past 4 years.

Directing Image and Sound

All projects from this class were directed, written, and edited by me. The focus of the course was to use mise en scene and composition to convey narrative.

Intro to Interactive Media

I took a course on interactive media that covered everything from coding, VR, and 360 videos. I was very interested in 360 videos and would love to experiment more with the medium. The first video consists of three different video streams in a 360 space. The latter video is a project filmed on a 360 Go-Pro camera.

360 Music video

This was the final for the class. Throughout my time in college, I’ve been taking one-second videos every day. I took seconds of the day from my time in Boston, studying abroad, and a family trip to Brazil and have 120 degrees dedicated to seconds of each of those categories. The song is “I’d Like to Walk Around in Your Mind” by Vashti Bunyan.

Enjoy seeing 2017-2021 in my eyes!

360 Narrative Film

Filmed with a Go-Pro fusion that allowed for 360 recordings. This was a way to sample what could be done with the camera and its ability to capture all angles of space. Not my best writing work by a mile, but it was fun!

Starring:

Liam Crossen

Jessica Costas

Antonio Camasmie

Basic Cinematography

This was a course I took during the pandemic that was vastly impacted by covid restrictions. Typically, students in these classes have access to cinema cameras and soundstages, but unfortunately due to the timing of the pandemic, I got a much more bare-boned experience. These projects are not good representations of typical films produced in this course, but this was what I produced during the first lockdown.

Basic Cine - Final “A New Normal”

This was the first project made back home. It is focusing on color theory and contrast. I produced this a week or two into the initial lockdown and lightly touched on the new rules regarding the pandemic.

Starring:

Michael Maher

Reed St. Vincent

Basic Cine- Intro Project

This project was the very last one I produced before the pandemic began. Using composition and lighting, we were supposed to highlight a change in tone and feeling. The assignment requirements were very loose and I took the opportunity to really familiarize myself with the lighting kit we had access to.

Advanced Editing

This course’s primary focus was to go over the fundamentals of Avid while also exploring more sophisticated editing techniques. None of the footage edited below was captured by myself and instead was provided to us by Emerson College.

Bingo Heist

This project assignment required us to create a simple title sequence but also try our best to make the scene unique and exciting by adding in music, sound effects, and whatever else we deemed necessary to elevate the content provided to us.

Montage Project

This was a much shorter project because there was less footage to work with. We had to create a montage that conveyed the energy of the scene.
